Sophomore Braxton Bjerke scored 40 points as the Clearbrook-Bears defeated the Bagley Flyers 87-82 at Bagley in an intense game played Friday night. Bjerke shot 16 of 21 at the free throw line and connected on four 3 pointers for the Bears. Hassani Bruton added 29 points for Clearbrook-Gonvick as the Bears improve to 11-12 overall. The game was tied at 48-48 at halftime and featured five ties in the first half and five ties in the second half. Jackson Kaiser led Bagley with 26 points as the Flyers fall to 9-15 overall. Kaiser fouled out of the game with 1:28 remaining. Ethan Rud added 10 points and 8 rebounds for Bagley while Ethan Proulx, Isaiah Fox and Trenton Frazier each scored 9 points for the Flyers.. The Bears took the lead for good with 1:23 left to go at 83-82. Clearbrook-Gonvick shot 24 of 41 from the free throw line while Bagley was 15 of 19 at the stripe. Clearbrook-Gonvick won the “B” Squad game 72-50.
