Clearbrook-Gonvick 85 Bagley 51
Bagley, MN — The Clearbrook-Gonvick Bears ran away with their eighth win of the season with a 85-51 win over the Bagley Flyers on Thursday night in Bagley.
The Bears lead the entire night thanks to an excellent shooting performance from Senior Logan Westrum who buried five 3-pointers in the first half and six for the game. Westrum was one of four players in double figures on Thursday night including Ben Goudge and Alex Churness who both came off the bench. Clearbrook-Gonvick did get a little sloppy with it in the second half committing 11 turnovers and didn’t shoot the rock quite as well compared to their first half.
The win on Thursday night for the Bears improves their overall record to 8-16 for the season. They will close out their regular season hosting their final two games against Fertile-Beltrami next Tuesday and Fosston on Friday. The Flyers fall to 2-22 after the loss and will play on Friday at Park Rapids and will finish off their regular season next Tuesday when they host the Crookston Pirates.
