The Clearbrook-Gonvick Bears opened their season with a 75-35 win over Blackduck in the semifinals of the Fosston holiday Tournament. Braxton Bjerke led the Bears with 18 points as Clearbrook-Gonvick starts their season at 1-0.  Hassani Bruton added 17 points while Grant Engen scored 13 and Ryan Gerlofs 11 for the Bears. Rocky Cook led the Drakes with 20 points and 8 rebounds as Blackduck falls to 0-2 overall. The Drakes turned the ball over 42 times with 31 of those turnovers coming in the first half. Clearbrook-Gonvick will play Fosston in the championship game on Friday night (96.7 FM) while Blackduck will face Win-E-Mac in the 3rd place game (96.7 FM).
