Recap
Climax/Fisher at Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal
Twin Valley, MN — The NCE/U-H Titans came away with a hard fought win over the Climax/Fisher Knights on Tuesday night 82-66.
The first half saw the Knights get out to the early advantage and hold that advantage until the very last moments of the period. Foul trouble in the first half saw Ethan Evitts for the Knights have to sit a chunk of the first with four fouls. But the usual main source of offense for Climax/Fisher was Ryan Morris who picked up his third foul with 1:30 seconds left. He would stay on the floor where he would get hit with his fourth and fifth fouls from an ill-advised reach in and then a technical foul after, ending Morris’ night with 15 pts and allowing NCE/U-H to take a 36-35 halftime lead.
In the second, the Knights were able to keep the game withing striking distance as they would get a 27 point game from Tyler Evitts and have other players step up in the absence of Morris. While the Knights were able to keep it close, the Titans would put together run to secure a double digit lead and NCE/U-H would never trail after that and would take the win 82-66.
NCE/U-H is now 8-5 on the year and will be at the Fosston Greyhounds on Thursday. Climax/Fisher falls to 1-15 on the year with the loss and will be at Red Lake County on Friday.
