Erskine, MN – The Climax/Fisher Knights extended their winning streak to eight matches with a 3-0 sweep over the Win-E-Mac Patriots on Thursday night, improving to 12-7 overall.

While it wasn’t the Knights’ most polished performance of the season, they kept the Patriots at arm’s length throughout the night. Each set followed a similar pattern: Climax/Fisher built an early lead, stretched it toward double digits, and withstood Win-E-Mac’s rallies before closing the door late.

In the opener, the Knights jumped ahead 16-7 before the Patriots responded with a 6-1 run to cut the deficit to 17-13. Climax/Fisher regrouped, forcing Win-E-Mac to burn a second timeout at 21-14, and finished strong to take the set 25-19.

Set two was more tightly contested, featuring several early ties before the Knights grabbed a 9-6 edge and then scored four straight out of a Win-E-Mac timeout. The Patriots chipped away to make it 19-17 in the late stages, but after a brief Climax/Fisher timeout at 22-20, the Knights steadied themselves to secure a 25-21 win.

The third set mirrored the earlier trends, though this time Win-E-Mac couldn’t mount a late charge. Climax/Fisher controlled the action and closed out the sweep with a 25-17 victory.

The Knights, riding an eight-match win streak, now prepare for a pivotal section and conference showdown at home against Fertile-Beltrami on Tuesday (YourLiveEvent.com). Win-E-Mac, falling to 3-13, will look to regroup when they host Mahnomen/Waubun that same night (Gold 101.5 FM KRJM).
