Crosby-Ironton at Barnesville
Recap
The undefeated Crosby-Ironton Rangers started off their 2025 state tournament run with a convincing 75-50 victory over a very hard-nosed Trojans team from Barnesville.
It was closely contended in the first seven minutes with six lead changes and two ties. After Barnesville hit a bucket to cut the C-I lead to 15-14, the Rangers had a 13-3 burst to push the lead into double figures at 28-17. The teams traded baskets through the rest of the first half and C-I took a 37-24 lead into the locker room.
The Rangers steadily pulled away in the second half, keeping the Trojans from finding much for offensive flow and utilizing their patented defense into transition offense.
Tori Oehrlein lead the way with 30 points, 19 rebounds and six assist. Regan Jueneman tallied 20 points and dished out five assists.
Crosby-Ironton (31-0) will play in the AA semifinals Friday night vs. the Minnehaha Academy/Caledonia winner. Pregame is set for 7:40 on Skeeter 101.5, rjbroadcasting.com and on the Skeeter 101.5 app.
