Max Palmer made 5 three point baskets to help Devils Lake come back from a 5 point first quarter deficit as the 2nd ranked Firebirds defeated number 4 Thompson 76-63 Friday night in Thompson.

Max Palmer made 3 threes in the second quarter as the Firebirds turned a 21-16 first quarter deficit into a 38-31 halftime lead and never trailed after that.

Parker Brodina led Devils Lake (19-1) with 22 points, Max Palmer had 21, Oliver Wirth 15 and Mason Palmer 10.

Karter Peterson scored 17 for Thompson (14-6), with Gavin Krogstad adding 16 and Braden Tyce 14 for the Tommies.

Thompson finishes the regular season with a trip to Four Winds-Minnewaukan Tuesday.  Devils Lake will host Carrington Monday in their regular season finale.
