VALLEY CITY, ND – Oakes topped Maple River 74-57 in the District 1 semifinals on Monday night.
Beau Thorpe finished with a game-high 34 points while teammate Jyles Meier added 24 points and 13 rebounds for Oakes. The Tornadoes look to defend their District 1 Tournament title against Hankinson on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
