District 1 Girls Basketball Championship – Maple River vs Sargent County

Sargent County held Maple River to their season-low in scoring with a 55-32 in the District 1 girls basketball championship game on Monday night.

The Bulldogs outscored Maple River 26-6 in the third quarter and Halle Nelson finished with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Sargent County plays Napoleon-GS in the Region 1 quarterfinals on Monday, February 19 at 3 p.m. from the Jamestown Civic Center.

BriElle Killoran and Violet Richman had 10 points each for Maple River. The Raiders matchup with Linton-HMB in the Region 1 quarterfinals at 7:30 p.m. on February 19.

Nelson was named Senior Athlete of the Year in District 1 and Maple River head coach Nathan Hoots was the Coach of the Year in District 1.
