District 1 Girls Basketball Tournament Championship

VALLEY CITY, ND – Maple River defeated Sargent County 66-52 in the District 1 Girls Basketball Tournament championship on Monday night.

Maple River freshman Violet Richman finished a tournament high 33 points on 10-of-15 shooting from the floor. Richman went 6-6 from the three-point line and 7-7 from the free-throw line. Maple River heads to the Division B Region 1 quarterfinals on Monday, February 24 against Kidder County at the Jamestown Civic Center.

Karleigh Kadoun paced Sargent County with 21 points and 6 rebounds. The Bulldogs matchup with Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier in the Region 1 quarterfinals.
