Karlee Walsh dominated at the plate and in the circle Tuesday as East Grand Forks defeated Ada-Borup-West 17-1 in 5 innings at the Johnson Sports Complex.

Walsh went 4 for 4 at the plate with 5 runs batted in.  In the circle, the senior allowed one hit and one run with 5 walks, a wild pitch and 11 strikeouts.

The Green Wave scored 4 times in the first inning, 3 in the second, one in the third, 4 in the fourth and 5 in the fifth inning.  Sophia Lukach went 2 for 4 at the plate with 3 runs scored and one batted in for East Grand Forks (8-5).

Ada-Borup-West scored their only run in the third inning when Adeliza Bitker scored from third base on a wild pitch.

Ellidi Dahl took the loss for the Cougars.  In 5 innings, she allowed 11 hits, 17 runs (earned) with 3 walks, 8 wild pitches, 2 hit batters and 5 strikeouts.

Ada-Borup-West plays at West Marshall on Thursday in a makeup game.  East Grand Forks plays at Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal Wednesday in Twin Valley.
