EGF Sacred Heart vs Fertile-Beltrami

Crookston, MN — The Sacred Heart Eagles defeated the Fertile-Beltrami Falcons 3-0 on Tuesday night to advance to the Section 8A Championship Game.

Sacred Heart was playing from behind for most of the first set taking their first lead at the 14-13 mark. From there the Eagles outscored the Falcons 11-4 to win the first set 25-21.

The second set started with Sacred Heart leading early 8-3 and a good thing they had that scoring run as Fertile-Beltrami had multiple instances for the rest of the set making it a three point deficit. But because the early lead the Eagles were able to hold off any Falcons comeback to win 25-21.

In the third set Sacred Heart cruised to the win 25-10 wearing out the Falcons with their relentless offensive attack led by Lyida Riskey and Lexi Lawrence who both had 16 kills each.

Sacred Heart is now 29-1 on the season and will play the Ada-Borup-West Cougars, who they lost to in September, for the the Section 8A Volleyball Championship.
