Fertile-Beltrami at Clearbrook-Gonvick

After getting their first victories of the season earlier in the week, Fertile-Beltrami and Clearbrook-Gonvick battled each other closely. Fertile-Beltrami started of the game hot scoring the first five runs of the game, two in the first inning and three in the second inning. The first run of the second inning was a solo Homerun to Centerfield by Gracee Henrickson. Clearbrook-Gonvick responded right back though as they scored the next four runs of the game. They also scored three runs in the second inning and then got another in the third to make it 5-4. From there it became a pitchers duel until the sixth inning when Fertile-Beltrami’s Kora Benson doubled and then Aubryn Johnson singled and brought her in to make it 6-4. That’s where the lead sat heading to the bottom of the seventh and Fertile-Beltrami’s Britta Sorenson forced the Bears to go three up and three down to close it out for a complete game win. Clearbrook-Gonvick’s Savannah Kumpula also pitched a complete game.
