VB Fertile-Beltrami at Fosston

The Fertile-Beltrami Falcons had eight players with at least one kill as they swept the Fosston Greyhounds 3-0 (25-11, 25-22 & 25-13) at the Fosston Gym. Tessa Opdahl had 8 kills and Madison Stueness had 7 kills for the Falcons as they close out the regular season at 21-6 overall and 7-2 in the Pine to Prairie Conference. Brielle Duppong had 6 kills and Hatty Quam 5 kills for Fosston as the Greyhounds end the regular season at 8-16 overall and 3-6 in the conference. Both teams will wait to see who they play next week in the Section 8A Tournament with the bracket being released on Wednesday. Fertile-Beltrami won the “B” Squad match 2-0 (25-22 & 25-7). Fosston won the “C” Squad match 2-1 (25-19, 24-26 & 15-12). The four Fosston seniors were recognized prior to the match. Miley Hove, Madison Bailie, Hilde Deusterman and Lexi Mahlen played their final regular season home match at the Fosston Gym. Mahlen  has missed the entire season with a knee injury but she was allowed to serve the first serve of the match and served an ace at the line.
