The Fertile-Beltrami Falcons held off a late rally by Fosston to beat the Greyhounds 20-14 at Thompson Field in Fosston. Jakob Rudie scored his second touchdown of the game with 7:23 left in the fourth quarter to make it 20-14 but the Falcons would pick up several first downs to kill the clock and prevent the Greyhounds from getting the ball back. Adam Kobetsky scored two touchdowns for the Falcons as they won their third straight game and improve to 3-2. Bryer Strem caught six passes for 57 yards for Fertile-Beltrami and Drew Gullickson caught three passes for 36 yards and a touchdown for the Falcons. Jakob Rudie carried the ball 15 times for 95 yards and two touchdowns as Fosston suffered their second straight loss and drop to 3-2 on the season. The Greyhounds committed 8 penalties for 70 yards while Fertile-Beltrami had one penalty for 5 yards and each team turned the ball over once in the game. Fertile-Beltrami had 23 first downs in the game while Fosston had 11 first downs. Both teams have their homecoming game next week with Fertile-Beltrami hosting the Hancock Owls (96.7 FM) and Fosston hosting the Rothsay Tigers in a 6:00 pm kickoff.
