The Fertile-Beltrami Falcons used runs of 14-2 and 18-0 to help them win at Fosston 58-33 on Monday night. The Falcons held a six point lead at 23-17 at halftime but held the Greyhounds scoreless for the first 8:52 of the second half. Bailey Iverson led Fertile-Beltrami with 20 points as the Falcons improve to 16-6 overall and 9-3 in the Pine to Prairie Conference. Indigo Oistad added 11 points and 6 rebounds for Fertile-Beltrami as ten players scored for the Falcons. Brielle Duppong led the Greyhounds with 14 points as Fosston falls to 10-10 overall and 6-7 in the conference. Miley Hove added 8 points and Lexy Illies 7 points and 7 rebounds for Fosston. The Greyhounds turned the ball over 24 times with Fertile-Beltrami turning the ball over 17 times. The Falcons have won six of their last eight games with Fosston having lost four of their last five games. The Falcons defeated Fosston 48-46 back on December 1st in Fertile. Fertile-Beltrami won the “B” Squad game over Fosston 62-26. Both teams return to action on Tuesday, February 10th with Fosston hosting Stephen-Argyle (96.7 FM) and Fertile-Beltrami going to Climax/Fisher (YLE). The winner of the Fertile-Beltrami at Climax/Fisher game will have the inside track on getting to the conference championship game on Saturday at Fertile.
