Fertile-Beltrami at Red Lake County

Red Lake Falls, MN — The Red Lake County Rebels scored 10 runs in the bottom of the 5th inning Friday night to beat the Fertile-Beltrami Falcons 16-6.

Both teams were sloppy defensively in the early innings combining for 6 errors in the first two frames as Fertile-Beltrami led 4-3 after two innings. The game went back and forth tied at 6 throughfour innings of play until Red Lake County exploded for 10 runs on eight hits in the 5th winning the game 16-6.

With the win Red Lake County is now 11-2 on the year and will play in a doubleheader tomorrow at Blackduck versus Blackduck and Ely. For Fertile-Beltrami their seven game winning streak comes to am end falling to 7-3 overall.
