FB Fertile-Beltrami at Underwood

Underwood, MN – The Fertile-Beltrami Falcons picked up their first win of the season Friday night, rolling past the Underwood Rockets 40-6.

The Rockets opened the game with a methodical eight-minute drive, but came up empty when they couldn’t punch it into the end zone. From there, Fertile-Beltrami’s offense took over, scoring on all four of their first-half possessions. Running back Caleb Sather, who tallied three rushing touchdowns last week, repeated the feat in the first half alone. Creed Tollefson added another rushing score, giving the Falcons a commanding 32-0 lead at halftime.

Tollefson struck again early in the third quarter with a six-yard touchdown run to stretch the lead to 40-0. Underwood managed its lone score late in the game on a two-yard run by Drew Evevold, closing the gap to 40-6.

With the victory, Fertile-Beltrami improves to 1-2 and will host Win-E-Mac next Friday. Underwood drops to 1-2 and travels to Rothsay in Week 4.
