The Fertile-Beltrami Falcons overcame a slow start to win in straight sets at Win-E-Mac on Thursday night. The Falcons overcame a 13-7 deficit in the first set to win 25-22 and went on to win the next two sets 25-17 and 25-13. Madison Stueness and Reese Bruggeman each had 7 kills for Fertile-Beltrami as the Falcons improve to 9-1 overall and 2-0 in the Pine to Prairie Conference. Brooke Fladhammer and Mya Erickson each added 6 kills for Fertile-Beltrami. Destiny Molstad led Win-E-Mac with 7 kills as the Patriots fall to 0-10 overall and 0-3 in the conference. Abigail Sauer added 5 kills and Lauren Kaupang 4 kills for Win-E-Mac. Fertile-Beltrami won the “B” Squad match 2-0 and the Falcons also won the “C” Squad match in two straight. Fertile-Beltrami will return to action on Tuesday, September 24th when they host NCE/U-H. The Patriots will also return to the court on Tuesday, September 24th when they host Ada-Borup-West (106.5 FM).
