Erskine, MN — The Fertile-Beltrami Falcons move to 2-0 on the season after their win on Monday night 83-68 over the Win E Mac Patriots.

It was a slow start for the Falcons trailing the Patriots for the first few minutes but once they were able to settle down, they took the lead and never relinquished it. After the mid way point, the Patriots were never able to get the game back to within five points despite Junior Justin Courneya scoring a game high 33 points. Fertile-Beltrami was lead by four of their five starters scoring in double figures and also excellent shooting throughout the night. The Falcons, holding the Patriots at bay, won by a final score of 83-68 and will play the second of their back to back on Tuesday night at home against the Cass Lake-Bena Panthers. For Win E Mac, they fall to 0-2 and will play in the 20th Annual Fosston Holiday Tournament this Thursday and Friday.
