Madison Stueness made 2 free throws to break a 50-50 tie, then scored on an offensive rebound with 1:12 to play as Fertile-Beltrami defeated Climax-Fisher 56-50 Thursday night in Climax.
The Falcons had jumped to a 19-6 first half advantage; then Climax-Fisher used full court pressure to force several turnovers and get back in the game. The Knights went on a 16-2 run to go in front 22-21 with 3:50 to play in the half. Fertile-Beltrami would regain the lead and were up 32-25 at halftime.
