VB Fertile-Beltrami 3, Climax-Fisher 2 (21-25, 24-26, 27-25, 25-20, 15-11)

Fertile-Beltrami fought back after losing the first 2 sets to defeat Climax-Fisher in 5 sets Tuesday night in Fisher.

Climax-Fisher took the first set 25-21 as Peyton Hoffman had 6 kills for the Knights.  Set 2 also went to the Knights 26-24.

In set 3, Climax-Fisher had 2 match points, but Fertile-Beltrami fought those off and went on to take that set 27-25.  Tessa Opdahl had 4 kills and a block assist as the Falcons stayed alive in the match.

Then in the fourth set, Fertile-Beltrami got a kill from Reese Bruggeman, a block by Mya Erickson and a Bailey Iverson kill to take the set 25-20 and force a deciding fifth set.

The Falcons took command of the fifth set early and won it 15-11.

Opdahl had 15 kills and 1.5 blocks for the Falcons (15-5), with Reese Bruggeman adding 13 kills.

Peyton Hoffman had 18 kills, 3 solo blocks and 2 block assists for Climax-Fisher (15-9), with Claire Erickson adding 9 kills and Brooklyn Hoffman 8 kills, a block and 2 aces.

Fertile-Beltrami travels to Mahnomen-Waubun on Thursday, while Climax-Fisher goes to Stephen-Argyle on Friday night.
