Preston Hanson scored 28 points and connected on five three pointers as the Falcons pulled away late to defeat Fosston 66-54 in Fertile. The game was tied at 48-48 when the Falcons took the lead for good at 49-48. Fertile-Beltrami used a 9-0 run to help them build a 61-50 lead. Gage Henrickson added 11 points for the Falcons and Bryer Strem returned from injury to add 10 points for Fertile-Beltrami. Will Christen led Fosston with 14 points and 7 rebounds with Dawson Bailie adding 10 points for Fosston. Jack Sekely hit three 3 pointers and scored 9 points for Fosston with Ryne Duppong scoring 8 points for Fosston. Fertile-Beltrami improves to 2-1 overall and 2-1 in the conference while Fosston falls to 3-2 overall and 3-1 in the Pine to Prairie Conference. Fosston won the “B” Squad game 51-46. The Greyhounds will return to action on Friday, December 13th when they travel to Climax/Fisher (Your Live Event). The Falcons will face the Blackduck Drakes on Saturday, December 14th in Thief River Falls (1480-Am/99.7 FM) in their next game.
