Fertile-Beltrami vs. LeRoy-Ostrander/Lyle/Pacelli

Minneapolis, MN — The Fertile-Beltrami Falcons punched their ticket to Prep Bowl 42 after a 60-33 win over the LeRoy-Ostrander/Lyle-Pacelli Cardinals on Thursday night in the State Semi-Finals.

The first half was the definition of a back and forth ball game with both teams matching each others scores. It was a 13-6 LOLP lead at the end of the first quarter before Fertile-Beltrami took their first lead of the game at the 9:24 mark of the second with a 59 yard Rushing Touchdown by Isaiah Wright making it 14-13 Falcons. The Cardinals would score with 5:37 left in the half making it 19-14. Fertile-Beltrami would snatch momentum with a 13 yard TD by Isaiah Wright to take a 22-19 lead with 1:46 left to play in the half. On the ensuing LOLP drive, Mr. Football Finalist Camden Hungerholt would hit Carter Sweeny for a 45 yard TD taking a 27-22 halftime lead.

Adjustments were made at half and Fertile-Beltrami would out score LOLP 38-6 in the second half and win the game 60-33. Falcons Running Back Isiah Wright had a historic day with over 300 rushing yards and 7 touchdowns.

With the win, Fertile-Beltrami will take a 12-0 record into Prep Bowl 42 and will play the Hills Beaver-Creek Patriots next Saturday at 10 am at U.S. Bank Stadium.
