Recap

Fosston at Ada-Borup-West

The Ada-Borup-West Cougars defense created transition baskets to stretch the score late in the second half with their offense making free throws down the stretch to keep the Fosston Greyhounds at bay for the 69-61 victory. The Greyhounds came out with an offense taking advantage of size inside and shooting outside to build a 21-11 lead with 7:36 remaining in the opening half. The Cougars full-court press then hurried the Greyhounds into turning the ball over with the Cougars transition helping them to a 7-0 run before eventually tieing the score at 31-31 at halftime. The Teams traded the lead in the second half with the Cougars leading 54-51 with less than six minutes to go. Out of a timeout the Cougars got consecutive steals into transition scores from Caspar Kritzberger to go ahead by seven points. The closest the Greyhounds would get from that point was four points as the Cougars held on for the 69-61 victory.

Ada-Borup West improves to 7-8 overall and will travel to face Cass Lake-Bena on Monday. The Greyhounds fall to 2-12 overall and will be on the road at Crookston on Monday night.
