The Fosston Greyhounds used a 13-4 second half run to help them to a 58-35 win at Clearbrook-Gonvick Thursday night. The Greyhounds held a 25-23 lead early in the second half but would go on to build a 38-27 lead and would never look back. Lexi Mahlen scored 19 points and pulled down 14 rebounds for Fosston as the Greyhounds improve to 9-4 overall. Brielle Duppong hit four three pointers and added 17 points for Fosston with Lexi Illies and Gretchen Anderson both coming off the bench to score 6 points apiece for the Greyhounds. Allison Lavine led the Bears with 22 points as they fall to 3-9 overall. Emma Fawver added 5 points and Joely Olson 4 points for the Bears. Fosston won the “B” Squad game 56-20. Fosston will return to action on Friday, January 17th when they hos Fertile-Beltrami (96.7 FM). The Bears will also return to action on Friday, January 17th when they travel to Ada-Borup-West to take on the Cougars (Your Live Event).
