Fosston at Goodridge/Grygla

The Fosston Greyhounds held off the Goodridge/Grygla Chargers 57-53 in an overtime thriller at Grygla on Tuesday night. The Greyhounds trailed 21-8 in the first half but a Jack Sekely three pointer right before the half cut the deficit to two at 26-24. The Greyhounds took their first lead at 27-26 and there were four ties after that including 48-48 at the end of regulation. Will Christen led Fosston with 20 points and 8 rebounds as the Greyhounds improve to 11-13 overall. Kelton Gray added 11 points and 10 rebounds for Fosston while Ryne Duppong added 10 points for the Greyhounds. Shey Jacobson led the Chargers with 11 points as Goodridge/Grygla ends their regular season at 7-19. Lorenzo Cavellaro added 9 points and Brody Saurdiff 8 points for Goodridge/Grygla. The Greyhounds shot 18 for 35 at the free throw line while the Chargers were 4 of 12 at the stripe. It was Senior Night for the Chargers as their four seniors were honored before the game. Goodridge/Grygla won the “B” Squad game 51-42. The Greyhounds will close out the regular season on Friday, February 28th when they play at Clearbrook-Gonvick (96.7 FM). The Chargers will play their first tournament game on Monday, March 3rd.
