Fosston at Mahnomen/Waubun

The Fosston Greyhounds overcame an 8 point first half deficit, built a 14 point 2nd half lead, and then held off a late Mahnomen Waubun run to come away with the 64-58 win.  The Thunderbirds missed several easy layups in the first half, but were able to turn the Greyhounds over resulting to layups to build the first half lead.  Fosston would chip away and cut the lead to 1 at the half with Mahnomen Waubun leading 31-30.  In the 2nd half the Greyhounds did a good job of breaking the Thunderbird pressure which would give them easy layups, while Mahnomen Waubun would struggle offensively to make shots.  The Thunderbirds would make a late run to cut the 14 point lead to just 5 points with a 1:30 to go, but that is as close as they would come.  Fosston moves to 3-1 on the year while Mahnomen Waubun drops to 0-3.
