GBB Fosston at Northern Freeze

The Fosston Greyhounds had three players score in double figures as they opened their season with a 56-29 win over the Northern Freeze at Newfolden. Brynlea Mahlen led Fosston with 18 points as she connected on four 3 pointers in the game. Vanessa Johnson also hit four 3 pointers and scored 14 points as the Greyhounds open the season at 1-0. Lexi Mahlen pitched in with 10 points and 8 rebounds for the Greyhounds. Rylie Fredrickson and Kaydence Augustine each scored 6 points to lead the Freeze as they start the season at 0-1. The Greyhounds never trailed in the game as they jumped out to an 8-1 lead and let 30-19 at halftime. The Freeze won the “B” Squad game 50-10. Fosston will return to action on Thursday, November 30th when they host the Mahnomen/Waubun Thunderbirds (96.7 FM). The Freeze will return to action on Monday, December 4th when they travel to Climax/Fisher (YLE).
