Ryne Duppong scored four touchdowns as the Fosston Greyhounds won 36-34 Friday night at Park Christian. Duppong scored on runs of 10, 8, 8 and 9 yards as Fosston improves to 6-0. Duppong had 303 yards of total offense between rushing, receiving and kick returns including 255 rushing yards. Duppong’s final score came with 3:10 left in the game and turned out to be the game winner for the Greyhounds. It was a back and forth game all night with Park Christian scoring first on a 37 yard touchdown pass from Jeremiah Bekkum to Nathan Peterson with 5:47 remaining in the first quarter. The Falcons led 6-0 after the first quarter. Dupong would score the first of his four touchdowns with 11:14 left in the second quarter and the game was tied at 6-6. The Greyhounds recovered a fumble and took advantage with Duppong scoring with 9:34 left in the second quarter to give Fosston a 13-6 lead. The final scoring of the first half came when Fosston blocked a punt and it was recovered by the Falcons in the end zone for a safety giving Fosston a 15-6 lead at halftime. Logan Giese scored four touchdowns for Park Christian as they fall to 4-2 on the season. Giese’s final score came with 1:40 left in the game to bring the Falcons to with 36-34. The Greyhounds stopped the two point converson and were able to run out the clock. Jeremiah Bekkum threw two touchdown passes for Park Christian including a 70 yard strike to Giese with 4:20 left in the game. The two teams combined for four touchdowns within a span of 2:59 in the fourth quarter. The Greyhounds will return to action on Thursday, October 10th when they host Badger/Greenbush-Middle River (1480-AM/99.7 FM). The Falcons will play their next game on Friday, October 11th when they travel to Clearbrook-Gonvick (96.7 FM).
