Red Lake Falls at Fosston

The Fosston Greyhounds jumped out to an 11-0 lead and never looked back as they defeated the Red Lake Falls Eagles 64-34 Friday night in Fosston. Freshman Lexi Mahlen recorded a double double for the Greyhounds as she scored 20 points and pulled down 11 rebounds. Katelyn Vesledahl added 13 points and Kinsley Duppong 12 points for Fosston as the Greyhounds won their seventh straight game and improve to 20-3 overall. A freshman led Red Lake Falls in scoring as well with Shandi Nelson scoring 18 points as the Eagles suffered their seventh straight loss and fall to 9-14 overall. The Greyhounds closed the first half on a 16-3 run and led 39-13 at halftime. Both teams shot well at the free throw line with Fosston making 10 of their attempts and the Eagles going 11 for 13 at the stripe. Red Lake Falls won the “B” Squad game over Fosston 39-15.
