Ulen, MN — The Fosston Greyhounds picked up their 17th win on the season on Thursday night in convincing fashion with a 74-40 victory over the NCE/U-H Titans.

NCE/U-H wanted to get shots to fall early on the offensive end in order to immediately spark confidence and gain momentum against one of the best teams in the Pine to Prairie Conference. The Titans did just that initially but some empty offensive possessions for the Titans and hot shooting shooting from the Greyhounds, halted the Titans chances by halftime when the Greyhounds lead 48-26 behind Senior Kinsley Duppong’s four first half 3-Pointers.

In the second half, Fosston Coach Kelly Viken wasn’t particularly happy about their turnover numbers but he called Thursday night’s win, one of their most complete games of the year. The Greyhounds are now 17-3 on the season and will play their final conference game on Monday the 13th at the Mahnomen/Waubun Thunderbirds, a game that may potentially decide if Fosston will represent the north half in the Pine to Prairie Conference Championship on February 18th. For NCE/U-H, they fall to 8-11 this year and will also be on the road on Monday in Red Lake Falls.
