Fosston Trash Pandas at Ada A’s
Braylon Hamre threw a 4-hit shutout, while Matt Morin had two hits and drove in the game’s only run as Fosston defeated the Ada A’s 1-0 Wednesday night at Tony Sipe Field in Ada.
Hamre retired the first 11 batters he faced and didn’t allow a hit until Zack Oistad led off the fifth inning with a single. The right-hander allowed 4 hits and 2 walks with 4 strikeouts.
The Trash Pandas (3-3) scored the game’s only run in the second inning. Hudson Boushee led off with a single and advanced to third when the ball got by rightfielder Nick Johnson. One out later, Boushee scored on a single by Morin. Boushee also had 2 hits for Fosston.
Ethan Opsahl took the loss for Ada (4-8). The A’s lefthander allowed 6 hits, 1 run (0 earned), 0 walks with 8 strikeouts. Nick Salentine threw a scoreless ninth inning, allowing one walk and striking out 2.
