Fosston Post #114 advanced in the NW Sub-State Legion Baseball Tournament in Red Lake Falls with a 3-1 win over Hawley Post #382. Aaron Norland pitched a complete game for Fosston and recorded 7 strikeouts as Fosston improved to 15-1 overall. Aiden Wolfe was 2 for 3 at the plate for Fosston and drove in two of their three runs. Brecken Levin, Ryne Duppong and Mitchell Mulry each had one hit for Fosston. Tommy Slette pitched well for Hawley and struck out nine Fosston batters. Wyatt Jegtvig had two hits for Hawley as their season came to an end with the loss. Hawley outhit Fosston 7-5. Fosston will play Wadena in the next round of the tournament on Friday afternoon at 1:30 pm (1480-AM/99.7 FM). Both teams head into the game with only one loss this season.
