Fosston vs. Nevis (at Perham)

Aaron Norland and Zach Theis each scored 15 points as the Greyhounds defeated the Nevis Tigers 57-37 at the Crossover Classic in Perham on Saturday. It was the first of seven games played at the Perham High School on Saturday. The Tigers entered the game averaging 72 points per game but were held to 37 by the stubborn Greyhound defense. Theis connected on four three pointers for Fosston as they improve to 8-1 overall. Cullen Norland added 10 points for Fosston as the Greyhounds took a 25-19 lead into halftime. John Paul Benson hit three 3 pointers for Nevis and scored 11 points as the Tigers fall to 8-4 overall. Nevis has only one senior on their team this year after graduating six seniors from the team that went to the state tournament last year. Devan Lindow, Austin Ahrendt and Joe Houchin each scored six points for Nevis.
