Fosston Post #114 won the Northwest Sub State Legion Baseball championship with a 10-3 win over DGF Post #397 at Red Lake Falls. Fosston scored three runs in the top of the first inning and never trailed as they improve to 18-1 overall. Mitchell Mulry picked up the win on the mound for Fosston and Aaron Norland went 3 for 5 at the plate for Post #114. It was the second time in less than 24 hours that Fosston defeated DGF with Post #114 winning on Friday evening 5-2. Fosston will be making their first ever trip to the State Division 2 Legion Baseball Tournament which opens on Friday, August 2nd in Bird Island. Fosston will play the host team BOLD at 7:30 pm on Friday, August 2nd.
