GBB: Four Winds/Minnewaukan 51, Hillsboro/Central Valley 37

Suri Gourd scored 26 points and the Four Winds-Minnewaukan defense suffocated Hillsboro/Central Valley as the Lady Indians defeated the Burros 51-37 Saturday afternoon in Hillsboro.

After HCV took an early 12-5 lead, the Lady Indians went on an 11-0 run and never trailed again.  The Burros were held to 13 points in the second and third quarters combined as HCV’s six game winning streak game to an end.

Cailee Hanson added 10 points for Four Winds-Minnewaukan (9-4, 3-1 in Region 2A) as the Lady Indians snapped a 3 game losing streak.

Paityn Olson led Hillsboro/Central Valley (8-7, 2-3) with 16 points.

HCV travels to Grafton Tuesday night.  Four Winds-Minnewaukan plays at St. John on Tuesday night.
