Win number 500 for Four Winds/Minnewaukan Head Coach Rick Smith started a little slow as Thompson jumped out to a 6-2 lead, but it wouldn’t last long as Four Winds/Minnewaukan finished the 1st quarter on a 13-0 run to go up 15-6. That run ended up being a 15-0 run before Thompson would score again, but in total it was a 23-2 run which sprouted the lead to 25-8 lead by aggressive defense that resulted in 10 first half Thompson turnovers. Thompson would get as close as 10 points and trailed by 12, 33-21, at the half. Four Winds/Minnewaukan kept it rolling in the second half which started off with a 17-3 run thanks to 11 3rd quarter points from Marial Deng which gave them a 26 point lead. That’s where the difference would hover the rest of the game before it settled at at 27 and Four Winds/Minnewaukan made it 9 straight wins.

Four Winds/Minnewaukan had 3 scorers in double digits as Jonte Delorme led the way with 18 points. The Indians showed incredible efficiency from the free throw line going 13-15 as a team. The #1 team in Division A improves to 10-1 on the season and are now 2-0 in Region 2.

Thompson had a balanced scoring attack as Elijah Conrad led the way for the Tommies with 8 points and a game high 8 rebounds. The Tommies fall to 6-7 overall and 4-2 in Region 2.
