Fertile, MN — After losing by 28 points just one night prior, the Fertile-Beltrami Falcons bounced back with a 80-53 win over the Goodridge/Grygla Chargers on Friday night.

The Chargers were the ones who came out of the gates hot taking an early 11-5 lead. Fertile-Beltrami from that point would find their offensive groove and go on a 17-3 run taking a 21-14 lead around the midway point of the half. Fertile-Beltrami never trailed for the rest of the game after their large run as they led 37-29 at half and outscored the Chargers 43-24 in the second half en route to the 80-53 victory.

With the win, Fertile-Beltrami is now 21-5 on the year and will host Cass Lake-Bena Saturday afternoon for their final game of the regular season. Goodridge/Grygla drops their fourth game in a row with Friday nights loss. The Chargers fall to 7-18 and will host Fosston next Tuesday (96.7 FM KKCQ) for their final regular season contest.
