Harvey vs Thompson
Recap
The Thompson Tommie defense helped them overcome a slow offensive start and kept the Harvey/Wells County Hornets from getting comfortable on offense all night for the Tommies’ 62-36 victory. The first quarter ended with the Tommies ahead 13-7 with the offense for both teams primarily coming from the free throw line. In the second quarter at the free throw attempts dried up the Tommies were able to use their height advantage inside to build a 27-14 halftime lead. The energy and effort on the defensive end continued after halftime as the Hornets did not score double digits in a quarter until they found long range success in the fourth, but the Tommies had already built a 30-point lead that would not be given up and the Tommies earned their fourth consecutive victory. Thompson is now 4-1 overall while Harvey Wells County falls to 1-5 on the season.
