Carrington’s defensive clinic paces 54-27 quarterfinals victory

The #1 Carrington Cardinals advanced to the semifinals in the Region 2A girls basketball tournament with a great defensive showing holding the Harvey-Wells County Hornets under 30 points. The Cardinals outside shooting didn’t always keep up to its usual form but they take care of business and defeat a young Hornets team in round one. Sienna Topp was excellent on defense with 3 blocks and Anniston Hoornaert led the way in scoring with 20pts.

Carrington will play #4 Four Winds-Minnewaukan in the semifinal round Tuesday at 5:30pm.
