Chase Haffely and Tyson Leshuk homered to lead Hillsboro/Central Valley to a 6-2 victory over Hatton-Northwood Tuesday in Hillsboro.

Haffely’s two run homer in the first inning gave HCV (10-6, 10-1 in Region 2B) an early lead that they never gave up.  Leshuk went 2 for 3 with a run batted in and two runs scored.  Broedy Breidenbach was 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored for the Burros.

Hatton-Northwood (7-8, 6-6) scored its run in the third inning on a sacrifice fly by Keegan Schroeder.  Schroeder and Blake Adams had 2 hits apiece for the Thunder.

Bryce Miller was the winning pitcher for HCV, going 5 innings, allowing 4 hits, 1 unearned run, a walk and 4 strikeouts.

Aiden Johnson took the loss for Hatton-Northwood.  In 3 innings he gave up 5 hits, 3 runs (2 earned), a walk, 3 strikeouts and 2 wild pitches.
