The Henning Hornets repeated as Section 6A Champions with a 72-61 victory over the Park Christian Falcons. In the opening minutes of the game the teams traded leads with six early lead changes before the Falcons were able to build an eight point lead at 17-9 with nine minutes to go in the half. The Hornets fired up their explosive offense with the three-point shooting leading them on a 19-3 run for an eight-point lead of their own with three minutes left in the half. Henning would build a double digit lead at 44-33 in the first few minutes of the second half until the Falcons continuously cut the margin. The margin would stay around 4-6 points, with the Falcons pulling as close as a single point, but could not retake the lead in the second half. Free throws in the final minute would close out the game for the Henning victory.

Henning remains undefeated at 30-0 and will advance to the State Tournament. Park Christian ends the season at 24-7 and will graduate seven seniors.
