the Ada-Borup-West Cougars pulled away in the second half in defeating the Hillcrest Lutheran Academy Comets 71-59. With the Cougars leading 34-31 coming out of halftime the Comets would tie the game at 42-42 midway through the second half. At that point the Cougars focused in with pressure defense and ball movement on offense for a 14-2 run that put them up by a dozen. Down the stretch the Cougars would make their free throws while getting stops on defense and not allow the Comets any closer than six points over the remainder of the game.
