Recap

Hillcrest Lutheran Academy vs. Underwood

Underwood overcame the Hillcrest Lutheran defensive game plan of having players who normally don’t score alot , to do the scoring for Underwood.  That’s exactly what Underwood’s Trinity Baker and Mily Albjerg did— the two combined for 43 points ( together they average 11 points per game) as the Rockets defeated the Comets 76-66. The game had eighteen lead changes with the last one coming with eight minutes to play.   Underwood plays Park Christian Wednesday night for the sub-section title.   Hillcrest led 34-29 at halftime paced by Ella Knutson’s 16 first half points ( 24 for the game).   As Underwood found the scoring from Baker and Albjerg, Senior Ezrah Baker also made timely shots ( 11 of her 14 points) in the second half and also played better defensively.   The Rockets are now 25-3.  Hillcrest Lutheran ends the season 21-7 with everyone returning for next year with no seniors on the roster.
