The Langdon Area/Munich Cardinals defense kept the Hillsboro/Central Valley Burros out of the endzone for a 25-0 victory and advancement to the State 11A Semifinals. The Cardinal defense was tested early after the Burros own defense intercepted the Cardinal offense on their first possession to start a drive already in Cardinal territory. On 4th-down the Cardinal defense sacked the Burros to end the drive. With their offense sparked by the defensive hold, the Cardinals drove 83-yards for their first touchdown. The Cardinals continued to play stout defense the rest of the way, recording six sacks in the game, forcing two turnovers, and holding the Burro offense scoreless on three Redzone opportunities. The Cardinal offense amassed 239 yards rushing and four scores on the ground to control the game and come away with the victory.

Langdon Area/Munich is now 11-0 on the season and will host the Velva-Garrison-Drake-Anamoose Aggies next Saturday in the State Semifinals. Last year the Aggies defeated the Cardinals in the State Semifinals on their way to winning the State Championship.

The Hillsboro/Central Valley Burros end the season with an 8-3 record and graduate 11 seniors from the roster.
