The Ellendale/Edgeley/Kulm Thunder stayed undefeated on the season with a 48-14 victory over the Hillsboro Central Valley Burros. After a scoreless first quarter the Thunder capitalized on a pair of explosive plays to finish off an eighty-two yard drive with a 31-yard rushing Touchdown from Ivan Carruth to open the scoring. The following possession, the Burros fumbled on the first play to give the Thunder a short field after the recovery before Damian Carlson rushed in from three yards out to make it 14-0 for the remainder of the first half. After the halftime, a pair of Burro turnovers and a punishing rushing attack from the Thunder wore down the Burro defense as the Thunder scored on five consecutive drives in the half. Isaac Thompson would first get the Burros on the board with a kick return Touchdown sandwiched between a pair of Drew Thorpe Touchdown runs for the Thunder made it 41-7. Ivan Carruth would score again for the Thunder, his third rushing touchdown of the day, before Tyson Leshuk found Brody Rogenes for a 47-yard passing touchdown to finish the scoring. EEK is 5-0 and will travel to face Kindred (5-0) next week with the winner being atop the Region 1 Standings. HCV (1-4) will return home and look to end their four game slide against the Central Cass Squirrels (4-1).
