Hillsboro Central Valley vs Grafton

A pair of defensive scores allowed the Hillsboro Central Valley Burros to extend their lead before halftime on their way to a 40-6 season opening win over the Grafton Spoilers. Defense scored first when Wyatt Johnson intercepted a pass and returned it for a Touchdown for the 7-0 Burro Lead. Later in the half Ty Muller would grab the first of his two interceptions on the day and return it near the goal line before fumbling, but teammate Ben McRitchie was there to recover in the endzone for another defensive score. The Burro Defense would take the ball away from the Spoilers four times in the game and all four turnovers lead to points for the Burros. Grafton had success with their passing attack, but the turnovers were too much to overcome in the loss. Hillsboro Central Valley starts the year 1-0 and will travel to play Park River Area next Friday in a non-region matchup. Grafton starts 0-1and will have a non-region matchup on the road at Thompson next week.
