The Grafton Spoilers handed the HCV Burros their first loss in ND Class B Region Two play this season with a convincing sweep: 25-17, 25-15, 25-21. The Spoilers got out early, turning a 7-3 opening set lead into an opening set victory. The Burros had early leads in both the second and third sets, but the Spoilers rallied both times to take the lead in each set and pull away. The Spoilers played a clean game, taking advantage of nine Burro service errors and not giving up a single HCV ace.

Mae Thompson and Alexis Tompkins co-led the Spoilers with eight kills each. Molly Bjorneby also tallied six kills an ace and a block in the victory. Carsi Hatlestad led the Burros with eight kills and two blocks while Kailee Kittelson reached her 1,000th career dig in the setback. Both teams are now 8-1 in region play and are tied with MPCG at the top of the Region Two standings. HCV and MPCG will meet on Tuesday in their region regular season finales while Grafton finishes out their region and regular season schedule at Park River Area on Monday.
