Grafton had 4 players with 5 or more kills, plus a strong block that propelled them to a 3 set sweep over Hillsboro/Central Valley Thursday night in Grafton.

HCV and Grafton played a close first set, with it being tied 18-all, before the Spoilers won it 25-21. In the second set, Grafton jumped to a 10-2 lead on their way to a 25-10 win.  And Grafton led the third set throughout, taking it 25-16 to complete the sweep.

Sheyanne Blackcloud had 8 kills and a block assist for Grafton (15-13, 4-3 in Region 2A), with Jocelyn DeGeldere and Mae Thompson getting 7 kills apiece, and Elle Schumacher adding 6 kills, 2 1/2 blocks and a service ace.  Unofficially, the Spoilers had 33 kills,  6 blocks, 8 service aces and 5 service errors.

Malia Brill had 6 kills to lead the Burros (7-17, 1-8), with Paige Cotton adding 4 kills and 1 1/2 blocks. Unofficially, HCV had 17 kills, 3 blocks, 4 service aces and 5 service errors.

Grafton travels to Drayton/Valley-Edinburg Friday night.  Hillsboro/Central Valley takes on Hatton-Northwood Monday night at Central Valley.
